In 1998, the Hindi film industry saw a star kid taking the cinephiles by surprise when he made a movie that gained a massive cult following within a short period. The movie starred three superstars and an actress fresh off the success of another superhit. The star kid is Karan Johar, the movie is Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (his directorial debut), and the actors are Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Rani Mukerji, and Salman Khan. She rebuffs him at first but falls for him, although never discloses her true feelings, she too takes a liking to him. However, Moina has a secret that leads to their tragic ending. The movie stars J D Chakravarthy, Urmila Matondkar, and Manoj Bajpayee in pivotal roles. The action-crime thriller follows Satya (Chakravarthy), an immigrant, working at a dance bar for a job in Mumbai. His life takes a deadly turn when he befriends a local gangster Bhiku Mhatre. He is thrown into the dangerous world of crime, slowly rising the ladder in Bhiku’s gang. He falls in love with an aspiring singer Viyda (Urmila) and gets caught in a web of deceit, leading to his downfall.

Featuring a star-studded cast comprising Pooja Bhatt, Nagarjuna, Ajay Devgn, Sonali Bendre, and a very young Kunal Kemmu, this poignant tale will tug at your heartstrings. The movie oscillates between the past and the present and is told from the perspective of Ajay Desai (Ajay Devgn/Kunal Kemmu), a music director. Set against the backdrop of the Mumbai riots, Ajay’s life is upended when he learns that his mother was burnt alive by rioters while leaving a temple. He then flashbacks to the past, reminiscing about his childhood days to his brother, revealing his inter-faith upbringing – a Hindu father and a Muslim mother. In the present, the brothers have to fight local leaders who have turned his mother’s death into a political gimmick.

Set in 1821, the movie starts with a masked man called Zorro, fighting for the poor. It is later revealed that the masked man is Don Diego de la Vega (Anthony Hopkins), a Spanish nobleman, seeking vengeance for the death of his wife and kidnapping of his infant daughter, During a public execution, he rescues a thug Alejandro (Antonio) and trains him to take his place as Zorro. As Zorror, Alejandro fights to put an end to the corrupt, anti-people government by causing the downfall of the former governor.
